Journal truth_monopole's Journal: Dirac Magnetic Monopole
While examining his work, I noticed that his derivation is incorrect, because he used vector potential A to represent the magnetic field of the stationary magnetic monopole. However, based on the Helmholtz decomposition theorem, scalar potential must have been used. Interestingly, this result can be used to show that magnetic monopoles do not exist. Consequently, the magnetic field is only the result of moving electric charges.

Abstract: This paper shows that based upon the Helmholtz decomposition theorem the field of a stationary magnetic monopole, assuming it exists, cannot be represented by a vector potential. Persisting to use vector potential in monopole representation violates fundamentals of mathematics. The importance of this finding is that the vector potential representation was crucial to the originalprediction of the quantized value for a magnetic charge.

Abstract: It is simply demonstrated that the Hamiltonian for an electric point charge interacting
with a fixed magnetic monopole does not exist. Therefore, the concept of magnetic monopole is inconsistent within the theory of electrodynamics.
