giel's Journal: More ways to blow things up - Science?

I must admit the website the article More ways to blow things up refers to is an interesting read, though I was wondering why - or is it just me? - slashdot features these home-brew-weaponry articles lately. They don't seem to be really scientific, I mean not very innovative.

Probably the same reason why most of of the stuff on Discovery Channel just about manages to warm by braincells up. And that's the stuff that isn't repeats. :)
