well just look at the list... (Score:2)
one of these is clearly unlike the others. the toothbrush is for preservation of the body, the other items are all luxuries you could do without. why don't they make this a real article/survey and ask "which is the greatest invention: toothbrush, clothing, medicines, shelter, etc."
(and no, trolls, pr0n is not a more important invention than any of the above)

Besides, this article says the toothbrush was invented in the 15th century. But that was Pre-Columbian and everybody knows that it was invented later in West Virginia [theancestors.com]. We know that because if it was invented anywhere else it would have been called the "Teeth Brush". <rimshot
