Apollo Program Multimedia Archive 3

David Findlay writes "Found this cool website that has heaps of RealAudio and MPEG clips of the Apollo missions. You can listen to Apollo 12 being hit by lightning and having to restart the computer, or Apollo 13's O2 tank blowing up. Some good pictures that would make great wallpapers for Enlightenment as well. Just follow the links to "Multimedia" and "Image Gallery"."

  • There's always those sites that believe the Apollo program was a hoax.

Have a laugh, they're everywhere. But here's one I found promoting a book on the subject...

Oh well, If God didn't make idiots, we wouldn't be able to tell who the smart ones are ;)

  • Oh, and he doesn't spell astronaut as astronaut but Astro-not! A pun! It's one of the creative dudes.

I just started exploring www.nasa.gov [nasa.gov], and I think it'll be quite awhile before I see all of it. They have quite alot of stuff available. Two of my favorites right now are:
    • spaceflight.nasa.gov [nasa.gov], where you can keep track of current/upcoming NASA missions in realtime.
    • Earth from Space [nasa.gov], where you can find many high-resolution (4000x4000!) images.
The nice thing is NASA "asserts no copyright" on the images without people in them, and they seem to put lots of effort into making archives available on the Internet. Also, astronauts on current missions take some pretty nice digital cameras with them, and they upload images to Earth so we can see them while they are still in orbit.

It's been a business doing pleasure with you.

Working...
