Ancient Desert Glyphs Pointed Way To Fairgrounds 38
sciencehabit (1205606) writes "Seen from above, the jagged rocks strewn about the Chincha Valley desert in Peru seem inconspicuous. But stand in the desert itself and these rocks form lines that stretch toward the horizon. Researchers have found that these lines were probably ancient signposts for the Paracas culture more than 2000 years ago, guiding people across the desert to gathering places for the winter solstice."

Wikipedia on Funnel cakes:
Funnel cakes are made by pouring batter into hot cooking oil in a circular pattern and deep frying the overlapping mass until golden-brown. When made at concession stands, a pitcher with an integral funnel spout is employed. Funnel cakes are typically served plain with powdered sugar , or with jam, cinnamon, Nutella, fresh fruit, or other toppings.
What makes you assume that 'white trash' only eat funnel cakes? Also you make several derisive and racists statements. Hence you got a car because you obviously didn't read the article. Nor do you know how to make funnel cakes. surprise surprise, you can make funnel cakes with maize. All you need is hot oil which was also readily available during that time period. Next time you decide to have your mouth tell your fingers to write a check your body can't cash hit

What? Fossils are not created that quickly. From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F... [wikipedia.org] , "fossils range in age from the youngest at the start of the Holocene Epoch to the oldest from the Archaean Eon, up to 3.48 billion years old." The Holocene Epoch started about 12,000 years ago. These markers are only a little more than 2,000 years old. Got proof to backup your claim?

Ok. So what do the Nazca lines point to? I'm not saying it's aliens but if you're going to talk like a bitch, you're going to get called out for it.
Since the Paracas culture immediately preceded the Nazca culture in the same region, my first guess would be that they used them for the same purpose.
