Real Genius Now Available on DVD 30
While perusing the Onion today, I came across this review of Real Genius on DVD. No longer must we lower ourselves to watching crumbling VCR tapes of this movie copied off of Cinemax in the early 90s.

Sure, we "hate" the MPAA. But do we hate the movie producers? The directors, actors, and writers? Do we stop being entertained simply because we don't like a single trade organization operating "on behalf" of those moviemakers?
Come on. A
Don't like the MPAA? Fight *them*, not the movie industry they purport to represent.
This "don't we hate the MPAA?" crap is getting old.

It almost appears that is what Movie Distributors are doing these days. They will take a popular movie release it to DVD with barely anything on it at $19.99 to $29.99. Then you will see retail stores start dropping the price. Eventually you see a special edition release then a director's cut then a criterion release etc etc...
Its all geared to make you blow money to buy a movie 3 to 4 times over.
Just look at Frank Herbert's Dune, the one released off Sci-Fi.
They just put out the Director's Cut with 30 minutes more material... Wooohooo and new packaging... *sigh*
