Buzz Aldrin [newsfactor.com] has some interesting ideas for getting to mars, again and again for relatively cheap. I actually read a little blurb in this month's popular science that got me interested. Basically you put a few 'space hotels' as the media has begun to call them in orbit around the Sun. Once you've got those puppies in orbit it makes the trip much cheaper then using rockets to get all the way to Mars and back.

So you think that money is the root of all evil. Have you ever asked what is the root of money? -- Ayn Rand
