+ - Sun grows quiet: storm a-coming?

Submitted by Orbity
Orbity (105496) writes "The Boston Globe in the U.S. is reporting an unusual calm on the surface of the sun. A solution to global warming? A secret plot by the republicans to encourage domestic oil drilling? You decide. From the article: "The Sun is now in the quietest phase of its 11-year activity cycle, the solar minumum — in fact, it has been unusually quiet this year — with over 200 days so far with no observed sunspots." Complete with excellent photos."
