MaineCoasts writes "The LA Times is reporting that researchers at NASA's Near-Earth Object Program have identified an asteroid about 160 feet across that has a good chance of hitting Mars next month. The scientists, based at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in La Cañada Flintridge, put the chances that it will hit the Red Planet on Jan. 30 at about 1 in 75."
