Submission + - Open-Source Microsoft exFAT File-System Implementation For Linux->

An anonymous reader writes: Version 1.0 of fuse-exfat has been released, which provides an open-source implementation of the Microsoft exFAT, a file-system designed for flash storage. This implementation uses FUSE to run the file-system in user-space thereby avoiding legal complications of attempting to push the patent-encumbered MS file-system into the Linux kernel. This open-source exFAT is released under the GPLv3 and can handle creating exFAT partitions as well as read/write support.
