mask.of.sanity (1228908) writes "Sony Network Entertainment is rebuilding its information security posture to defend against hacktivism.

It includes a security operations centre that serves as a nerve centre collating information on everything from staff phone calls, to CCTV, to PlayStation gamers.

If it is successful, the counter intelligence -based system will be deployed across the entire company."

  • In a few years it will com eout that they started recording all PS3 in-game audio chats looking for people talking about being unhappy with Sony. Sounds ridiculous, but then so did the idea of root kits on music cds...
