An anonymous reader writes "The online version of the San Francisco Chronicle sfgate reports the cause of the loss of a Soyuz rocket in August to a manufacturing flaw, announced by the official Russian Space Agency, ROSCOSMOS. The manufacturing flaw led to the failure of a gas generator. This is an update from the earlier story on slashdot,
