darthcamaro (735685) writes "If you're like a lot of Firefox 4 users out there, you've probably noticed that Firefox has a serious memory problem — it uses alot more than it really should. At long last, Mozilla developers are finally set to take this issue seriously with a dedicated team called MemShrink that are focused on the problem.

"It's pretty clear by now that this is a much bigger problem than any one person can likely tackle," Mozilla Developer, Johnny Stenback said.

  • when computers had so little memory to begin with that you had to be conservative and smart with your design? I don't envy the task of MemShrink team, as they are trying to fix something they have very little control over, unless they are able to go back to the drawing board.

Nobody's gonna believe that computers are intelligent until they start coming in late and lying about it.
