Bob the Super Hamste writes "According to yahoo new a 16 year old Canadian 11th grade student has discovered a possible cure for Cystic Fibrosis. The treatment is a drug combination that in a computer simulation on the Canadian SCINET supercomputing network appeared to cure the symptoms. He has also tested the drug combination on living cell with "results exceeded his expectations"."

    Please re-read the article and resubmit it with more accuracy. He didn't find a cure, he found a potential treatment.

    Aspirin will treat arthritis, but there's no cure. Water and bed rest will treat a common cold, but there's no cure. There are drugs to treat HIV and hepatitis C that will keep the patient alive for decades, but no cure.

    What this kid did was astounding. The story deserves to be on slashdot, but not in a Fox news type of way. "Cure" is more than an exagerration.
