+ - Toggle DDR NAND tested in Samsung SSD->

Submitted by crookedvulture
crookedvulture (1866146) writes "Flash giant Samsung makes the SSDs in quite a lot of laptops, and its new 470 Series has a few interesting hooks: dual cache chips, Toggle DDR NAND, and a hybrid 1.8/2.5" form factor. The Tech Report put the 470 up against 30 different mechanical and solid-state drives, and found its overall value proposition to be attractive and idle power consumption exceptionally low. However, the drive's file copy speed doesn't hold up well after it's been thoroughly used, at least when compared to solid-state rivals."
